Floyd Harry Henshaw

Floyd Harry Henshaw, 69, passed away at his home on Friday, May 21, 2021 after a three year battle with cancer. Floyd was a proud father of eight children and grandfather of fourteen. He was a devoted Christian and a member of The Potter’s House Church in Scottsville, VA. Floyd will be remembered as a hardworking, self-employed handyman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen C. Henshaw, Sr. and Margaret S. Henshaw; two brothers, Johnny E. Henshaw and Douglas L. Henshaw.

He is survived by his children, Margaret Morris and Barry, Rebecca Patterson and Patrick, Johnna Taylor and Jay, Kristi Dobyns and  Jeff, Ashlee Henshaw  and Amanda, Emily Henshaw, David Henshaw and Kristal, and Katelynne Beahm and Josh; the mother of his children and friend, Kay; his grandchildren, Ian, Eli, Rowan, Jacqueline, Ryan, Abby, Angel, Kristopher, Kody, Kelsey, Peri, Isaiah, Kaleigha, and LeeAnna; his brothers, Owen C. Henshaw, Jr. and Shirley, and Bernard Henshaw and Paula; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Harlin “Chubby” Sykes officiating.

Interment will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
