Ferrel Lee Morris

Ferrel Lee Morris age 95 of Stanardsville, VA. He passed away on April 14, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Ferrel was born on January 18, 1930, in Rockingham County, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Fannie Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Virginia Dean Morris, and a son, Jerry Wayne Morris. Brothers Junior Thomas Morris, George Morris, Nelson Morris, Owen Dallas Morris, and foster brother Alfred Smith. Sisters Margaret Tooley, Reva Morris, Marie Morris, son-in-law Glenn Shifflett, great-grandson Ikarius Kubin, and great-great-grandson Neil.

Ferrel is survived by his friend Barbara, his two sons, Deland Morris and wife Phyllis and Delmas Morris and friend Shelia, his two daughters, Patricia Shifflett and friend Kenny and Karen Morris and husband Glen, one brother, Elwood Morris, and his foster brothers, Ivan Richard, Paul Bruce, and Jerry Nicholes.

Grandchildren: Emory Morris and wife Susan, Norman Morris and wife Allie, Tina Hupp, Chris Morris, Candy (Steven), Glenn Shifflett (Kim), Jason Shifflett, Jerry Morris, Brittany Shiffett (Brian), and Heather Collier.

Great grandchildren: Austin, Kassady, and Andrew Shifflett; Hailey and Dawson Morris; Emory Lee Morris; Carmelle Hontz (Bob); Skylius Penergraph; Aerious Kubin; Syrinus Dean; Aiden and Avery Shifflett; Terri Finister; Marissa Bryner; Ryan Bryner.

Great great grandchildren: Madeline, Laura, Karen Hontz, Wallen Finster.

The family will receive friends at Batten Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00. A funeral service will begin at 11:00, with Pastor Eddie Byers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in Ferrel's honor to Medi Home Hospice. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Batten Funeral Home of Ruckersville, Virginia.
