Ferdinand “Fred” Borrelli, 81, of Free Union, VA passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 20, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Ettore and Mary Borrelli.
Fred proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a skilled craftsman who had an excellent talent in woodworking. He enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with his wife, being in the mountains and hunting. He was certainly a people person but above it all his love was in his family. Fred will always be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and cherished grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Ann Borrelli; children, Mark Borrelli, Scott Borrelli and his wife, Robin, Kathleen Ward and Laura Wegner; sisters, Antoinette Carro and Madeline Ventimiglia; grandchildren, Talon, Shane, and Cody Borrelli, Cherylann Ward, Colleen Ward Miller and Katie Ward; and one great grandchild, Holden Scott Borrelli.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, 6562 Amicus Rd Ruckersville, VA 22968.
