Faye Joyce Breeden, 81, of Ruckersville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was born January 25, 1937 in Shenandoah, Va. She was the daughter of the late David Newton and Lily Shomo Lucas.
On October 4, 1952 she married Randolph C. Breeden, who survives. She is survived by two children, Randolph “Wayne” Breeden (Genevieve) of Elkton; Gail Breeden of Stanardsville; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Forloines (who she raised), Dillon Breeden, Angela Noel, Kenneth Breeden, and Andrew Breeden; 5 great – grandchildren; and 2 great – great – grandchildren. Also surviving are 5 sisters, Alberta Morris of Ruckersville, and Ramona May, Mary Ann May, Lottie Secrist, and Dorothy Smith, all of Shenandoah.
Faye was preceded in death by a son, Charles “David” Breeden; four sisters, Lois Gray, Rowena Dennis, Juanita Lowery, Pearl Comer; and two brothers, Leonard Lucas and Roy Lee Lucas.
Faye retired from Comdial as an inspector after over 40 years of service. She was a dedicated member of Covenant Church of God.
A grave side service will be held at Holly Memorial on Friday, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. with Danny Bare officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
