Eric Bernard Manning
Eric Bernard Manning, 55, of Ruckersville, VA died on Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was born on August 16, 1957 in Erie, PA to Florence Manning and the late Irving Manning.
Eric had a gentle, kind, loving soul and enjoyed the simple things in life whether it was fishing, being with his family or the Virginia Mountains. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan through and through. He loved his animals, especially his potbelly pig, Gizmo but his true love was his wife that he cherished for 33 years and his children that he was so very proud of and loved deeply.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Marie Jackson Manning, three children, Heather Marie Manning, Erika Lynn Manning Rogers and her husband, Dylan and James Paul Manning and his wife, Brandilyn.
Additional survivors include his father-in-law, James Jackson, brother and sister-in-laws, Kathy and Greg Holland, Patrick and Heather Jackson, Barbara and David Spusta, Mary Ann Davis and Marty Jackson and Adrienne, a dear friend, Christina Shotts and her children, Mia and Dominick and many caring friends.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Jackson and brother-in-laws, Joseph Jackson and Dan Davis.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Chaplain Gordon Putnam officiating. As a Navy veteran military honors will be provided.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Breast Health Center of Martha Jefferson, 500 Martha Jefferson Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
