Enos Rudolph Roach
Enos Rudolph Roach, 68, of Stanardsville, VA died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Tallie and Virgie Morris Roach.
Mr. Roach was a past member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, singing, playing horseshoes and shooting pool. His heart was filled with generosity and would help anyone he met. Enos was a loving and supportive father, grandfather and friend to his family and all he knew.
He is survived by his two daughters, Valerie Thacker of Stanardsville and Vanessa Thacker and her husband, Chris of Free Union, grandchildren, Derek Thacker, Matthew Roach, Daniel Thacker, Heather Thacker, Jenna Thacker and Hillary Thacker and three great grandchildren, Drew Thacker, Landen Alther and Braden Thacker.
Additional survivors include his siblings, Bill Roach and his wife, Liz and Wayne Roach and his wife, Marlene and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Shifflett and Elizabeth Smith.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2011, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
