Elvin Roy Shifflett
Elvin Roy Shifflett, 79, of Stanardsville died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Evergreene Nursing Care Facility. He was born on September 10, 1932 in Greene County to the late Charles Luke Shifflett and Bertha Morris Deane.
He is survived by his children, Mary Ann Crawford of Ruckersville, Cindy Ann Schmidt and her husband, Mike of Spotsylvania and Elvin Roy Shifflett, Jr. and his wife, Bethany of Stanardsville, his twin brother, Elbert Shifflett of Dyke, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Wilmer and Elmer Owen Shifflett.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren with Rev. Wendell Lamb officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
