Elizabeth Shifflett, 90, of Greene County died on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Evergreen Nursing Care Facility. She was born on August 13, 1920 in Greene County to the late William Shifflett.
She is survived by her sister, Eva Collins and her husband, Jim of Alexandria, VA, her cousins, Charlotte M. Knight and her husband, JT, and her family, Sherry Short and her husband, Steve and their daughters, Kendall and Kelsie Short, Terri Knight and her husband, Jim and their son, Dustin, Carolyn Frazier and her husband, Whitey and her family, Whitey Jr., Christopher, Scarlett, Tina and Matt.
Additional survivors include her friend, Peggy Dove and her children, Debra and Bruce Pritchett and children, Bruce Jr and Shell, Tanya Lamb and Greg, Wendy Pritchett Shifflett and her husband, Kevin, Peggy Pritchett, Travis Lamb, Xavier Picott, Damian Pritchett and Konnor Shifflett, Jimmy Castle and children and Jason Castle and children.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a special aunt and uncle, Effie Lee and Newman Hamm and a special niece, Ruth Ann.
Elizabeth was a member of Evergreen Church of the Brethren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of choice.
