Elizabeth Lee Jennings, 85, of Ruckersville, VA died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1925, in Ruckersville to the late John T. and Susie Burnette Marshall.
She is survived by her children, George E. “Dickie” Runkle, Jr. and his wife, Wanda of Ruckersville, Susan R. Keyseear of Michigan, and “JB” Runkle and his wife, Faye of Palmyra.
Additional survivors include her brother, Howard “Bur” Marshall and his wife, Roxie of Springfield, VA, her six grandchildren, Jackie Parrish, “Beaver” Runkle and his wife, Heather, “Buck” Runkle, Jennifer L. Salisbury and her husband, Brent, Michelle Villers and her husband, Eddie and “Ellis” Runkle and her ten great grandchildren, Dakota and Hayden Parrish, Johnnie and Victoria Villers, Kayleigh, Emileigh and Brentson Salisbury, Autumn and Alyssa Runkle and Summer Weakley.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “C.C.” Jennings, Jr. and her brother, Rev. Randall T. “Jack” Marshall.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Shifflett officiating.
Interment will be held in Spring Hill Cemetery, Advance Mills, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Rescue Squad, PO Box 302 Stanardsville, VA 22973, Ruckersville Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 789 Ruckersville, VA 22968 and / or Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pkwy, Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22911.
