Edward Lee McCauley, 68, of Ruckersville, VA passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was born January 12, 1950 in Charlottesville, VA, son of the late Solomon David Jackson McCauley and Louise Irene Morris McCauley.
Edward is survived by his wife, Diana McCauley of Ruckersville, VA ; two sons, William McCauley and Christopher Lam both of Ruckersville, VA; one daughter, Mellisa McCauley Meadows of Louisa, VA; three brothers, David McCauley, Henry McCauley, and Pete McCauley (Ann) all of Free Union, VA; two sisters, Paula Huckstep (Keith) of Crozet, VA and Betty Frazier (Andrew) of Barboursville; three grandchildren, Ashley Ann Trueblood, Jennifer Marie Meadows, and Kristen Leigh Morris; 2 great-grandchildren, Reagen Paisley Trueblood and Zeke Alexander Wood; and many other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra McCauley Estes; brother, Jimmy McCauley; two sisters, Anna Johnson and Doris McCauley.
Edward loved talking about the old days. He loved all of his family and would help anyone that he could. His favorite things were to mow his grass, go riding around in his truck and sitting on the deck and watch the deer come out of the woods.
He was a loving husband and father and he will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Free Union Church of the Brethren, 4152 Free Union Road Free Union, VA 22940. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
