Eddie Jerome Barbour

Eddie Jerome Barbour, 69, of Ruckersville, VA died on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his residence. He was born on August 10, 1941 in Nelson County to the late Earl and Margaret Palmer Barbour.
Mr. Barbour served his country in the United States Army and later retired as a technician with Sear after many years of service. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and playing guitar but most of all the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband for 36 years and a very loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Barbour, two daughters, Nicole Barbour of Madison and Regina Barbour of Ruckersville, one sister, Lorine Brown of Charlottesville and four grandchildren, Keira, Colby, Aiden and Andrew Barbour.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Johnson and his best friend and nephew, Massie Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA, 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, with Rev. James Ragland officiating and military honors provided by the United States Army.
