Dorothy Ann Laform

Dorothy Ann Laform, 77, of Stanardsville, VA died on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Martha Jefferson House. She was born on January 4, 1934 in Washington, D.C. to the late Leamon and Katie Burnette Adams.
Mrs. Laform was a member of the Stanardsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and was a member of both the Master Gardeners and Quilting Clubs in Greene County. She was very devoted to her husband. They loved to travel and they both were very active with the VFW.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen Gilpin of Stanardsville, Kim Edmonds of Williamsburg, Rick Laform and his wife, Sheila of NY and Michael Laform and his wife, Susan of Chesapeake.
Additional survivors include her siblings, Connie Joyner of NC, Theresa Berger of FL and Richard Adams of Fl, six grandchildren, Kristin Gilpin, Steve Gilpin, Richard Laform III, Matthew Laform, Joseph Laform and Samantha Laform and one great granddaughter, Chloe Current.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Laform and her sister, Barbara Finch.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Stanardsville Baptist Church.
Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
