Donald Nelson Perry, Jr., 56, of Stanardsville, VA died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at his residence. He was born on December 14, 1954 in Charlottesville, VA to Donald Perry, Sr. and Jean Thurston of Roanoke, VA.
Donald was an outgoing, smart, quick on his feet kind of guy. He always had fun in whatever he did whether it was with his family or friends. He enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins and he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Donald was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Perry, three children, Christopher Daniell Perry and his wife, Shauna of Ruckersville, Amber Lynn Perry of Stanardsville, and Taylor Ashley Jean Perry of Stanardsville and two grandchildren, Ashlynn Perry and Mason Perry; and a nephew, Rene Ehlenfeldt.
Additional survivors include his sister, Beth Norquest of Lynchburg and his brother, David Perry of Roanoke.
Donald was preceded in death by his brother, James Perry.
A celebration of Donald’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
