Diane Houchens Jones

Diane Houchens Jones, 75, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at her home. 

She was born on March 31, 1947 in Charlottesville, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sarah Houchens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Clarence Houchens and Kenney Houchens. 

Diane was a graduate of Lane High School in 1965. She worked as a bookkeeper at Detter-Edwards Morris before she retired in 2010. 

On October 21, 1971, she married her husband of 51 years Roy A. Jones; he survives her. She is also survived by her two sons, Gregory Jones and Scott Jones and his wife Jenifer, her sister, Vicky Camp, six grandchildren, Trevor, Kara, Riley, Kyle, Logan, and Delaney, and one soon to be great-grandchild. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Blackwell officiating. 

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital in her memory.
