Dewey Edward Shifflett, Jr., 52 of Stanardsville, VA died on Friday, September 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born on October 6, 1958 in Madison, VA to Ruth Taylor Shifflett of Barboursville and the late Dewey Shifflett, Sr.
Dewey was a member of Maple Grove Christian Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his son, Joshua Shifflett, his grandson, Lep Shifflett, his siblings, Patricia Shifflett, Robin Spencer, Elizabeth Shifflett, Rickie Shifflett and his wife, Carol and Shirley Shifflett, close friend, Peggy Shifflett and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Maple Grove Christian Church, 3210 Proffit Rd Charlottesville, VA 22911.
