Deborah Lynn Morris

Deborah Lynn Morris, 62, of Stanardsville, Virginia, died on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the University of Virginia Hospital.

Debbie was born on February 2, 1961, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital and was the daughter of the late Russell Dubal Smith and Clarice Ada Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Smith “Buggy”; a sister, Edna May Parrott; and her grandson, Dillion Scott Campbell.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Gary Lee Morris; sons, Joey Morris (Terry) and Daniel Morris (Miranda); daughter, Michelle Rogers (Evan); sisters, Bonnie, Brenda, Doris, and Mary; grandchildren, Lucas Morris, Joseph Morris, Gideon Morris, Dakota Taylor, Devon Taylor, Scott Randall, and Chelsey Randall; great-grandchildren, Keaton Randall and Ayden Taylor.

Debbie was a graduate of Rockingham County High School, and a member of Bacon Hollow Church. She worked at Mountain Valley Convenience in Ruckersville for ten years.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, starting at 2 p.m., at Bacon Hollow Church with Pastor Malcom Powell officiating.
