David Lamb

David Lamb, 73, of Stanardsville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2014.
David was born November 23, 1940, son of the late Niceadaus Lamb and Elsie Frances Morris McMullen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Hester Roach Lamb; four children, Brenda Slaughter and her husband, Mike of Stanardsville, Lewis David Lamb and Kelly Zeier also of Stanardsville, Lisa Dean and her husband, Mike of Ruckersville, and Barbara Collier and Robert Taylor of Stanardsville; six grandchildren, Michael Slaughter, Joshua Collier, Matthew Lamb, Monica Dean, Brandon Collier and James Dean; two sisters, Buford Horner and her husband, Finley of Arlington and Shirley “Jodi” Durrer of Ruckersville; numerous nieces, nephews, very special sisters and brothers-in-law that he deeply loved, and many other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Allie Jerrell and five brothers, Otis Lamb, Montie Lamb, Haywood Lamb, Ennis Breeden and Niceadaus Lamb, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Wolftown Pentecostal Church with Brother Jeff Shifflett.
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
