Dale Autry Wood

Dale A. Wood, 68, of Scottsville, Virginia formerly of Crozet went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital.

He was born October 5, 1953, son of the late Robert “Bob” Wood and Annie Lam Wood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Russell and Roger; and sisters, Bertha “Pearl” and Aleen.

Dale is survived by the mother of his children, Karen Wood; daughters, Tonya Snead (Lee), Jen Collier (Allen) and Jessica Wood.

He is also survived by his love, Ann Gregory; nine grandchildren, Devin, Corey and Konner Collier, Ryan and Trevor Snead, Ian and Arianna Gibson, Vanessa and Nina Fisher; one great-grandchild, Waylon Collier; sisters, Paula “Penny” Morris (Glen) and Dawn Nelson (Tony); brothers, Wayne Wood (Joyce) and Paul Wood; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Nickell officiating.  Interment to follow at Prize Hill Cemetery.
