Clyde Nelson Taylor

Clyde Nelson Taylor, 91, of Ruckersville, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021.

He was born August 5, 1929, in Greene County, son of the late Carroll Newman Taylor and Mabel Clair Bickers Taylor.

Clyde is survived by two sons, Nelson Taylor (Robyn) of Richmond, VA and Gary S. Taylor of Ruckersville, VA; two grandchildren, Stephen Craig Taylor (Kristi) and Kristen Taylor McDaniel (James) both of Richmond, VA; brother, Robert Taylor of Charlottesville, VA; sister, Mary Marks of Stanardsville, VA; and many other loving family members and friends.

Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served 42 months during the occupation of Germany.  He was a retired employee of Comdial. Clyde was a lifetime resident of Charlottesville and Greene County where he was a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed baseball/softball and golf where he played as a longtime member of Greene Hills Club.

A private graveside service will be held.
