Charlotte Sleeper Washington, 99, of Stanardsville passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hospice House.
She was born June 20, 1917 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, daughter of the late Leon J. Sleeper and Marion Lockwood Sleeper.
Charlotte is survived by a son, Anthony Washington and his wife, Zoraya of Hollywood, Florida; lifelong friend and caregiver, Betty Veninger of Stanardsville, Virginia; two granddaughters, Elena and Teresa Washington; two stepgrandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren; two nieces, Barbara Feeley and Amy May; a nephew, Lloyd Sleeper, Jr.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by a son, Charles Washington and a brother, Lloyd Sleeper.
As an executive housekeeper in hotel industry, Charlotte was able to travel and live in many areas of the country.
A memorial mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, 6562 Amicus Road, Ruckersville, Virginia.
The family would like to thank Grace Health and Rehab and Hospice of the Piedmont for all of their care and support of Charlotte.
