Charlotte Breeden Collier

Charlotte Breeden Collier, 94, of Stanardsville, VA passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Grace Health and Rehab. She was born on July 1, 1921 in Virginia to the late Clyde and Lettie Bickers Breeden.

Mrs. Collier graduated from William Monroe High School, class of 1938. She was the owner of Collier Brothers General Store and worked for Greene County Pharmacy for over 30 years. She volunteered much of her time to the community and the Senior Center. She had a love for life and family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Glen Collier and his wife, Ellen of Stanardsville; two special nieces, Charlotte Marie Johnson and Brenda May Hicks; two sisters, Peggy Mederious and Mary Elizabeth Mayrs; two grandchildren, Jason Collier and Courtney Collier; four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Lauren and Mackenzie and two great-great grandchildren, Taydem and Presleigh.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Collier; four brothers, Walker, David, James and RA Breeden; and one sister, Sonya Lance.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Piver officiating.

Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Grace Episcopal Capital Maintenance Fund, PO Box 112 Stanardsville, VA 22973 and/or Medi Home Health and Hospice, 1540 Insurance Lane Building E, Suite A, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
