Charles Granville Sudduth, Jr., 94, of Barboursville passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
He was born October 19, 1922 in Washington, D.C., son of the late Charles G. Sudduth, Sr. and Jessie Barnes Sudduth.
Charles is survived by his devoted sons, Charles G. Sudduth III, Frank Sudduth and his wife, Kathy, Joe Sudduth, Jay Sudduth and his wife, Margie; his cherished daughters, Julie Sudduth, Jean Crump and her husband, Dave, Jessie Sudduth, Joni Jacobsen and her husband, Joe; sister, Doris Williamson; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Jane Dawley Sudduth; and son, Wesley Sudduth.
Charles proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, Virginia.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
