Bobby Woodson Tanner
Bobby Woodson Tanner, 75, of Mechanicsville, VA died on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Charles Hunter and Ruth Seale Sampson Tanner.
Mr. Tanner enjoyed watching NASCAR especially Dale, Jr and Richard Petty and had a passion for studying history. Most of all, he was very proud of his family, he loved his sons, daughter-in-laws and grandson deeply and will be missed by them all.
He is survived by his sons, David Tanner and his wife, Caelon of Mechanicsville and Harold Tanner and his wife, Tammy of Highland Springs, his grandson, Nathan Hunter Tanner, his sister, Jeanne Mauzy and her husband, Jim, his two nieces, Kristy Mauzy and Kimberly Fulwider, and his great niece, Abbey Brown.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Fulwider and his brother-in-law, Bobby Fulwider.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
Interment will follow in Stanardsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Victory Junction
