Betty Jo Green, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
She was born April 19, 1931 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Delbert Vanover and Minnie Orender Vanover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Elmer Green; and her son, Larry Green.
Betty is survived by her son, Jerry Green (Phyllis); daughter-in-law, Nancy Green; three grandchildren, Jennifer Walthall (Jamey), Nathan Green (Leslie), and Mike Green (April); four great grandchildren, Ava, Lane, Emma and Clara; sister, Phyllis Oliver (Cliff); niece, Deanna Waddle (Ricky); nephew, Tommy Reynolds (Linda).
She was a loving wife, Mother and Mamaw. She attended Laurel Hills Baptist for over 30 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Laurel Hills Baptist Church, 3595 Grand Forks Blvd. Charlottesville, Virginia 22911 with Pastor Bruce Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to Laurel Hills Baptist Church.
