Bertha Louise Fincham
Bertha Louise Fincham, 82, of Dyke, VA died on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at her daughter, Fern’s residence. She was born on November 1, 1930 in Russell, VA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Stump.
Mrs. Fincham was a member of Swift Run Baptist Church. She loved to clean, play the slots, gardening, canning and especially traveling. Above all she loved her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her five children, Patty Shifflett and her husband, Henry of Ruckersville, Dianna Deane of Madison, Brenda Compton of Stanardsville, Ronnie Morris and his wife, Diane of Ruckersville and Fern Sutherland and her fiancé, Donald Shifflett of Dyke.
Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Patrick, Kandie, Eugene, Carey, Krystal, Ronnie, Jr., and Megan, step grandchildren, Scott, Kathy and Billy, 10 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Eugene Morris, grandson, Shawn Morris and great grandson, Noah Hunt.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Swift Run Baptist Church, 4306 Amicus Rd Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Swift Run Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Shifflett and Pastor Mark Holder officiating.
Interment will follow in Ruckersville Cemetery.
