Barbara Annette Lamb

Barbara Annette Lamb, 60, of Greene County, VA went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2022, surrounded by love and family. Barbara was born on April 18, 1961, in Arlington, Virginia to the late James Edward Hines and Mary Potter Hines.

Barbara was preceded in death by; her parents, James, and Mary Hines; her beloved husband of 30 years, L. Wayne Lamb; her brother, Brian Hines; and many other family members.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother-in-law, Doris Lamb; her 3 children; Logan Lamb (Ameigh), Megan Gibson, and husband, Josh; and Kaytee Lamb (Trinity); her granddaughter, Grace Shifflett; and many more relatives and very special friends.

Barbara was a kind, devoted wife, mother, friend, Girl Scout leader, but her most cherished title was Grandma. Family meant everything to her, and she always was ready to lend a helping hand. She was one of the most requested preschool teachers in Arlington before moving to the country and devoting her life to taking care of her children and many critters. When she wasn’t busy with the kids, you could find her riding her Harley-Davidson alongside her husband, creating millions of lists, taking trips to the Wally World, decorating for any and every holiday you could ever possibly think of, or spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara will be missed by so many. Until we see you again.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home - 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, beginning at 2 p.m. at Stanardsville Baptist Church- 103 Madison Road, Stanardsville, VA 22973 with pastor Wendall Lamb officiating. Food and fellowship will follow.
