Attwaye Sylznick Jackson, 76, of Barboursville, VA passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on July 23, 1941 in Greene County to the late Leroy and Ida Jackson.
He is survived by his children, Edwin, Sheila, Cassandra, Tyrone, and Iyana; sisters, Novella Freitas, Murble “Jean” Baker and Jacqueline Carey; God Daughter, Cassandra Baker; in laws, Marie Jackson, Doris Jackson, Lindsay Baker, Norman Carey, Olive Everett and Lillian Jackson; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany; sisters, Edith Davis, Ida Everett, Della Louise Taylor and Savola Lindsay; brothers, James Jackson, Channing Jackson, Sylvester Jackson, Leroy Jackson, Jr., Eddie Jackson and Thomas W. Jackson; in-laws, Chauncey Davis, Willie Lindsay, Doris Jackson, William Taylor, Mario Freitas and Fannie Jackson; cousin, Clarence Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968, with Rev. Stanley Holmes officiating.
The family would like to thank the 3 West Unit of UVA and Unit 5 of Grace Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care during this time.
