Arley Woodrow “Woody” Gregory, Jr., 81, of Troy, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 10, 2024. He was born on September 21, 1943, the son of the late Arley Woodrow Gregory, Sr., and Dorothy Mae Griffin Gregory.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Juanita Hall.

Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Wayne Gregory (Debbie), Mike Gregory (Meghann), Deborah Gregory, and Chris Gregory ( Candice); one stepdaughter, Angela Marsh (Mike); 12 grandchildren, David Gregory, Ashley Ganoe, Kelly Campbell, Lacie Rae, Timothy Eddith II, Jonathon Britton, Daniel Gregory, Sofia Gregory, Brittany Davis, Jeremy Tillman, Joshua Marsh and Savannah Marsh, who he adored and loved keeping up with, and seeing pictures of; and 13 precious great-grandchildren. Woody was lovingly cared for the last nine months by his three sisters, Diane F. Wood, Judy L. Carter, Gloria M. Gregory, and niece Dorothy L. Adcock.

Woody loved hunting and fishing with a passion. Later in life, he enjoyed watching all the animals outside at his sister's. Woody's children say he had one of the strongest work ethics they had ever seen and was always so dependable. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him!
