Angelo J. Lagana Jr., 85, of Ruckersville, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024. He was born February 6, 1939, in Cranston, RI, to the late Angelo J. Lagana Sr. and Martha Spadaro Lagana.
Angelo enjoyed a 35-year career at the Providence Gas Company, retiring in 1999 as a Tool Crib Operator. A veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves in the early 1960s, Angelo spent many years restoring his ‘57 black Chevy, and after his hard work paid off, you could find him in those red leather seats driving around town. He loved to travel, was a NASCAR and football fan, and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working with his hands. Surprisingly, Angelo – never a chef – found great joy in baking. Above all else, he was an excellent father and provider for his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty years, Catherine Plante Lagana; sons Angelo J. Lagana III of Narragansett, RI, and Brian K. Lagana (Lou Ann) of Alexandria, VA; sister Lena Felici of Johnston, RI; grandsons Christian P. Lagana and Liam F. Lagana; great-grandsons Holden and Colton Lagana; and multiple nieces and nephews.
