Alvin Lee Shifflett

Alvin Lee Shifflett, 75, of Free Union, Virginia passed away Monday, December 28, 2020, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Alvin was born July 13, 1945, in Charlottesville, Virginia, son of the late Claude Wilson Shiflett and Beulah Morris Shiflett.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Margaret Shifflett; brothers, Claude Hamilton Shifflett and David Woodrow Shifflett; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Shifflett.

He is survived by his sisters, Beverly Carpenter and her husband, Joe and Sandra Gail Shifflett; nephew, Darryl Wayne Shifflett and his wife, Melanie; three stepdaughters, Cathy, Dawn, and Allison; and many other family members and friends.

Alvin was employed with Sperry Marine for many years.  He was a member of Bacon Hollow Baptist Church.  He was a “man on the go” who enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, farming, as well as being with his friends.
