Allan Franklin Stipe
Allan Franklin Stipe, 69, of Ruckersville, VA died on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 2, 1944 in Washington, DC to the late Howard and Ida Harley Stipe.
Allan was a member of Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church. He volunteered much of his time working with MS patients and with GRACE doing Tuesday’s Table. He was very intimately involved with the lives of his grandchildren and will be missed deeply by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Carole Stipe, two children, Michael Stipe and his wife, Elaine and Christopher Stipe and his wife, Cindy, six grandchildren, Amber Lemire, Autumn Stipe, Tara Barnes, Dylan Stipe, Cody Stipe and Katie Stipe and his sister, Mildred Melmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Stipe and his beloved basset hound, Murphy.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church with Rev. Hal Horan officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 &/or Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, 6566 Spring Hill Rd, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
