Alice Emogine Collier

Alice Emogine Collier, 83, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1933 in Madison, VA to the late Wilmer and Gertrude McDaniel.
Mrs. Collier was very devoted to her church and God. To many of her church friends, she was known as “Sunshine.” She enjoyed doing work for the church and traveling with her family. Her love for her family a s a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was endless.
She is survived by her children, Faye Smith and her husband, Randy, Charles Collier and his wife, Susie, Donnie Collier and his fiancé, Faye Shifflett, Betty Repass and her husband, Arnold and Michael Collier and his wife, Cathy; her siblings, Raymond McDaniel, Thelma Morris and Christine Robbs; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennie Collier; her son, David Collier; and siblings, Otis McDaniel, Bill McDaniel Herbert McDaniel, Floyd McDaniel, Thomas McDaniel,and Claire Kingrea.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the caregivers , the nurses and staff of Martha Jefferson Hospital and Dr. Kyle Swingle for their dedication and compassion to Mrs. Collier.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Eheart Pentecostal Church with Pastor Lee Lawson officiating.
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
